Bag Openers are usually installed at the front end of a sorting system to open and empty plastic sacks / bags containing household recyclables, C&D, MSW (Black Bag waste) or biodegradable waste.

The machines also act as a metering system to feed the opened / loose materials smoothly and continuously into the sorting or preparation plants.
